This Privacy Policy explains how https://hazyrising.com collects, uses, and discloses information about you. This Privacy Policy applies when you use my websites, on mobile applications, and other online products and services that link to this Privacy Policy.
I take your privacy seriously. When you visit Hazy Rising — a bilingual website — I want you to feel completely confident about how your information is handled. I built this site to share my creative work: original audio recordings, personal photography, and video content. I didn’t build it to collect your data without your knowledge. This privacy policy explains exactly what I collect, why I collect it, how it’s used, and what rights you have as a visitor. I’ve kept it as clear and honest as possible, because I think you deserve that.
What Information I Collect and Why
I only collect personal information in one specific situation: when you choose to reach out to me directly through my contact page.

When you submit that form, I may collect your name, email address, IP Address and the content of your message.
I use that information solely to respond to your inquiry. I don’t add you to any mailing list. I don’t sell your data. I don’t share it with third parties for marketing purposes. Once your question is answered and our exchange is complete, I have no ongoing use for your contact details.
Visitors cannot upload any files to this website. There is no feature — and no loophole — that allows anyone to upload images, audio recordings, or videos to Hazy Rising. I use a dedicated plugin that blocks all file upload capabilities at the server and front-end level. This protects both your security and the integrity of my original creative work.
Google Analytics, Google Site Kit, and How is Use Website Data
I’ve installed Google Site Kit and Google Analytics on Hazy Rising. I’ll be honest — I use these tools because I genuinely want to understand how people experience my Website in order to improve it.
Google Analytics collects anonymized, aggregated data about visitor behavior. This can include:
- Your approximate geographic location (country or city level)
- The type of device and browser you’re using
- Which pages you visited and how long you stayed
- How you arrived at Hazy Rising (search engine, direct link, etc.)
- Your IP address (anonymized by default in my configuration)
This data is processed and stored by Google according to their own privacy policy. I strongly encourage you to review Google’s Privacy Policy if you’d like a full understanding of how they handle analytics data. I access this information only in aggregated form — I don’t know who you specifically are from an analytics report. What I see is patterns, not people.
Google AdSense code has been integrated on this website. However, as of the date of this policy, no advertisements are currently displayed on this site. I will update this privacy policy accordingly to reflect any additional data collection that AdSense may involve. Right now, that code is dormant and not actively serving any ads or collecting ad-related behavioral data.

Analytics Cookies (Google Analytics / Site Kit)

As I mentioned above, Google AdSense code exists on the site but is not yet active in serving ads. Until Google approves the site, AdSense should not be setting behavioral advertising cookies. I will update this section specifically when ad serving becomes active on Hazy Rising.
